Commission-Welcome Tiana by Nippy13 Commission-Welcome Tiana by Nippy13
Commission for :icondahoser:
It took me a while for me to do this, that's why i thank you the commissioner so much for his patience :)
I had a lot of fun in doing this...this is a special party for Tiana! It's a welcome to the exclusive 'Disney Princesses Club' by Cinderella Snow White Belle and Ariel (i love Ariel in this dress better than the pink one )....
Hope you all like it :onfire:

Hey Nippy! |D

So- I'm loving the picture...although, as usual, I really wanna give it good critique. So- forward.

I love the idea, for starters- what a cute thought! xD Although I know it was commissioned, you really managed to capture that lighthearted-ness one always associates with Disney.

A few things though- First of all, Cinderella's pose looks a little...odd. Perhaps because her eyes and head are pointed too -low-, so it seems like she's saying something next to her or talking to someone/something on the ground instead of Tiana. The colors are excellent, though i must admit the little basket of confetti is a bit random, and clashes slightly with the colors of her dress- from cool to warm all of a sudden. I like your coloring for her, however- very much like the original.

Now, to Belle. Although I think you made her quite beautiful, there's something in her expression that doesn't quite seem right- again, like she's not looking at Tiana, but past her, at the other princesses, possibly. Also, although the colors are essentially right, it seems her skin is a little -too- dark in comparison with her dress- she was very pale after all. Finally, the perspective on her left arm (the one outstretched) doesn't quite seem complete- too thin, and her hand too large. Fantastic job with her dress, however.

Tiana herself looks great- the perspective is fantastic, though one again- the gaze. If she's not looking at Ariel, she's looking behind her- not exactly at Snow, who's giving her the cake. I like the pose of her hands though, and the relation to her face, as well as the colors you chose.

I actually really love how you did Snow- she looks so sweet, though, again- her gaze is looking up at someone in front of her- instead of at Tiana. The pose of her hands and the wave of the little cape were excellently done- but the shape of the cake is a tad bit Odd. Great coloring with her, however- unlike the rest of the princesses (except for Ariel, but I'm getting there), her colors are bright and foward- the rest seem a bit muted in comparison. Perhaps it was the lighting?

Finally, Ariel. Out of the five, this was the best done, in my opinion. Her gaze seems to reach Tiana, and the action of her hands clapping are very well done. I also love the curve of her dress- though a few things, as well. Her right forearm seems a bit thick compared to the other, and the pose of the hand too back- it's a bit of an awkward angle, so I could understand how hard it would be to get. Taking that into account, her upper body seems a bit bigger than her lower half- elongating it a bit would make it feel a bit more proportional. Did I mention I love her hair and expression? Because I do. xD

Finally- I love the banner, and how you used Disney lettering- though, since we're looking straight ahead, did you intend the script to grow smaller? Perhaps a straight text would better set the viewpoint. Finally, the pink and purple colors are very pretty- but I feel like the deep violet somehow clashed slightly with the natural colors of the princesses, and somehow changed the hue of the drawing as a whole.

Great job, however- It's great to see how you keep drawing fantastic stuff. Keep it up!

This is a masterpiece, and very much Disney, I can tell you Walt Disney Himself would be smiling, and telling you, that "You've got the job, now come and join me"! That's fantastic the way you did the proportions, and the way you did the actual design, and the facial expressions, and the way you done the dresses are exemplary. I'm so proud of this, and honored to see this work! I love it, keep doing more, and let me know what it is, as Hercules said, "I can Go the Distance", So Prove to me that you can Now!
