i personally love 'Beauty and the Beast'...after 'The Little Mermaid' is my favourite Disney movie...and like many of you i love the Beast in his animal form and also in his human form (Prince Adam)!! That's why i decided to put both of them together in a single pic...This is the uncensored version of the pic!I've also uploaded a 'censored' version (which is almost a new pic) you can see here [link] Hope you like it!
This piece is quite poignant. Children in our society are brought up to see everything in terms of good and evil, so many children do not feel sympathy for the Beast early on in the film. They say "He's a meanie, so he did it to himself." While the narrator does touch briefly on the pain he feels ("As the years passed, he fell into despair and lost all hope..."). This doesn't really resonate with kids. I like how you've captured in a very simple picture the anguish he felt at a curse that was levied upon him for the sin of being a man. Having his human form in front helps us to remember that he still has some good within him, but his outer form, which dominates the picture in size, is a harsh reminder of his outward appearance and how it overshadows the man inside the Beast. My only criticism is that their facial expressions don't completely match. Adam should be shown feeling more pain. Still, you did a good job.
Little Mermaid and Beauty & the Beast are my 2 favorite movies. I love Ariel the most of all the princesses, but as far as love stories go, Belle and Beast are my favorite. -.- I kinda wish he could have stayed as the beast. I got attached to the big fluffy dude <3
My only criticism is that their facial expressions don't completely match. Adam should be shown feeling more pain.
Still, you did a good job.
