Here is the making of my Aladdin hand painted cel :)
Basically i did the lineart in photoshop and then printed in colour on a plastic sheet called cel.
The colour is added on the reverse of the cel...i usually use acrylic paint.
Hope this helps....here you can see the final piece

Wow, it looks so messy on the reverse. ^_^" I kind of like that... When I was little, I remember that I'd keep busting my thumb open from pushing so hard on crayons to try getting smooth coloring like on TV. I could never seem to find anything that would color smoothly enough (until my family got a computer when I was 14, and I found MS Paint). I wasn't even very good with acrylics when they started letting kids use them in high school (a bit disappointing, since I'd figured they must have used paint for TV), but now I kind of want to try painting cells. D: ...and it looks so simple and fun, too...
(where'd the background come from?)

This is amazing! I have to ask, I'm 14 and I want to be an animator, but I have no tools to do it. What do you use?
